Launch of SES-9
The SES-9 rocket was launched last night after 3 cancelled attempts over the past 10 days.

The weather for the first three attempts was picture perfect.
Unfortunately last night is was cloudy and foggy in the distance.
The following pictures show what was visible from Flagler Beach (about 90 miles north of Cape Canaveral). Still quite impressive. Especially IRL.

It must be very exciting to see such an even in real life.
How exciting to be able to see the launch like that, it would make is seem more real. Somehow all that stuff doesn't seem quite real if you can only catch it on the TV. How fun to go on the cruise. I went on one (a Disney ) cruise a number of years ago and loved it. Congrats too on your to ornament/nutcracker finishes, they turned out adorable.
