Last Post 2009

Although this year still has more than a month to go, this will be my last post for 2009. The coming months will be very busy with little blogging time. When I have a chance I will certainly drop by to visit your blogs and if at all possible comment as well.

Before I leave you for 2009 I do want to share a few pictures.

At the beginning of November we flew to Las Vegas for a short visit. Thankfully we were there on a Wednesday and I was able to spend time with my stitching friends at SP.
Juls had baked the most scrumptious cookies and boy how I enjoyed them and my time with all you great people.

Just before leaving home Janome & I managed to mount and frame the pieces I had stitched for the little P's. Happy to say they liked them and so did their mom and dad.

Although I only had the bottom row of the alphabet left to stitch during my Wednesday at SP I only managed 5 crosses. Yes, yes I know - I shouldn't talk so much!!

'My Lady's Quaker' by Jardin Prive
stitched 1/1 on 25 ct white lugana with DMC 315 & 223

I did manage to finish it the week we got home. What fun it is to stitch these Quakers.

Not only did I do a lot of visiting and talking, I also managed to buy some new stash.

'Happy Thanksgiving' by Shepherd's Bush

'A Quaker Christmas' by ByGone Stitches'

Brenda had recently finished hers - gorgeous and Juls is stitching her's now. I bought 25 ct ivory lugana and the colors Julie is using on hers - Sampler Threads 'Blue Spruce' and 'Buckeye Scarlet' and Crescent Colors 'Whatley Woodlands'. Of course I couldn't resist just putting a few stitches on this pretty piece last week - another 2009 start.

The third pattern will be stitched for DH to add to his wonderful nutcracker collection which we display all around our home every Christmas.

'Nutcrackers in Blue' by Imaginating.

From our home to your's:

Merry Christmas
and a
Happy and Healthy 2010.

I hope all's well. As I was 'popping over to Paris' for a couple of months, I was hoping to arrange a catch up (nothing like having passport and train tickets). I guess that this is now out of the question. Take care. Keep well.

Must have been a lot of fun to meet old stitching friends in LV. And isn't it normal that one doesn't get a lot stitched during get-togethers? At last it's like that with me, lol.
Your finish looks terrific. I love the colours you used on it.
Have a good time.
