Finally....back.....and pictures!!!

Anyone out there still remember me after all this time?(LOL) I never thought I would go so long before blogging again but sometimes these things just can't be helped I guess. After my last post things did not improve with my UTI which left me little energy for much else. Today is the last day of my third set of antibiotics and hopefully my next visit to the doctor will reveal that it is gone. Please keep you fingers crossed for me.

Problem two was that for the past two weeks I haven't been able to upload any images. I haven't a clue what the problem was but today DH got it working for me again. So here are a few pictures I can finally share with you.

First up is the square Annemarie http://wackywanderings.blogspot.com/ stitched for me in the second Fair and Square round. Annemarie and I mailed our squares on the same day hoping they would also arrive on the same day, but I guess the US mail thought these were just too pretty and considered keeping them. Finally after more than a month on the road someone decided to be kind and Annemarie's package was in our mailbox. The squares are absolutely perfect from one Dutch person to another. The front is a Delft Blue tile of a tulip - what could be more Dutch? On the back Annemarie stitched not only her name, city and the year but decorated the corners with a pretty design of her own. Along with the squares she sent me one of her now famous floss rings with Wildflowers 'Firecracker' floss (red/white/blue - the colors of the Dutch flag) and the cutest card with a hilarious poem by Hans Kuyper. DH got quite a chuckle out of that too. Thank you so much Annemarie. I thoroughly enjoyed stiching this exchange with you and know I have made a new friend. Someday we will meet in person and I am looking forward to that day. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Jula will feel better soon.

And here are the squares I stitched for Annemarie. As most of you know she is a translator and I remembered her mentioning that she enjoys translating romance novels. Now I ask you, what can be more romantic than a novel entitled 'Ladye of the Castle'.

Next is the Fair Square which I stitched for Hannah http://hannahxs.blogspot.com/ for round 3 of our exchange. Hannah loves fall designs and colors so a pumpkin stitched with WDW Terra Cotta seemed perfect for her. It has been such fun stitching this square for you Hannah and I'm glad you like it.

And finally a birthday bookmark for my friend B.

Before I sign off - our DD will be arriving from The Netherlands this coming Saturday to spend a week with us. Yeah!!!!!!!!
Wishing you all a wonderful week.

Yay, you're back!!! I do hope that you feel much, much better soon, so that you can enjoy Esther's visit to the fullest.
Since I will be finishing all the fair squares as a quilt, I can't do anything with the squares until I've got a few more. Such a bother, because I want to display them NOW!
Have fun with your daughter, and say hello to my fellow Berkelaar :o)

Thank you for the comment Margaret. I wish Maui were a vacation, but it's work. We are decorating a cottage to sell in the next two weeks. We still have to install a closet system, build a queen size headboard, sew some curtains, and clean and put away all of the kitchen items.

Yes, I would like to meet you, but it couldn't be until after Thanksgiving. Right after we get back we head to Los Angeles for a convention over Thanksgiving weekend. Sometime between November 28 - December 4 would be the best time. We will be in Boston the second weekend in December and are holding a cookie baking party and Vegas holiday party the third week. The next weekend we head back east for Christmas.
