Finished - what a relief!!!
Yes friends, it is a real relief to have this project finished.
I fell in love with 'Matter's Choice the moment I saw it and just had to have it. Of course I never checked the symmetry of the pattern as I never doubted it. Little did I know how many adjustments I would have to make along the way.
Now I know that many of you are saying - "Oh Margaret get a life!!" However, those of you who know me, know I won't be happy unless a symmetrical piece truly is exactly that. That is what this hobby is all about isn't it - making us happy?
Well folks, it's done and I am HAPPY and very relieved that my changes worked. I just wish that the colors of the picture were more true to life as they give this piece such a lovely old fashioned look.

It's gorgeous! Congrats!
Gorgeous, beautiful finish!
'Matters Choice' doesn't look like it would give you a hard time of it! I do know what you mean about wanting it to be symmetrical...I have a similar problem trying to do anything random!
It's a beautiful finish Margaret, so you can relax and enjoy tomorrow's festivities as the world rings in 2011. All the best my friend!
Whata lovely chart !
Well done
Happy new year
It is stunning
A wonderful finish, Margaret.
Wishing you a very Happy New Stitching Year!
Congratulations on a lovely finish!
well, it looks pretty symetric to me !
and since I love blue, this is a definite thumbs up !
Awesome!
I'm with you. Something like this has to be symmetrical because it's too closely so to be 'out'. I know the extra effort to fix mistakes in the pattern were worth it. It is beautiful.
This is wonderful Margaret! Great job on the finish. Are you framing it or finishing it in some other way? I have been thinking of you as I need to get the JA pattern off to you so we can stitch it up this year.
Hugs en groetjes ~
Heidi
